Results of the 2011 Shell Eco-marathon
2nd price for the "Schluckspecht 3" with 409 km/kWh.
3rd price for the "Schluckspecht E" with 172 km/kWh.
Technical Innovation Award for the Bow-String-Structure (BSS) vehicle concept of the "Schluckspecht E2light", developed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for High Speed Dynamics, EMI from Freiburg.
Successful Shell Eco-marathon for the Schluckspecht-Team from Offenburg.
The Schluckspecht 3 got second in the hydrogen-category of the prototypes. The team reached the second place after two of five competition runs and was able to defend it during an exciting final at the last racing day.
It was an exciting last racing day for the prototypes, as well as for the UrbanConcept cars. We were able to improve the "Schluckspecht E2light" from run to run and as a result got third in the Plug-In category.
In addition to that, the vehicle-design of the "Schluckspecht E2light", the Bow-String-Structure BSS, was awarded by the judges with the Technical Innovation Award. The BSS is a result of a cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for High Speed Dynamics, EMI from Freiburg.
